	This is the story of us: Our story began just over 5 years ago when Chris and I met for the first time at a restaurant in Toronto where Chris was working. In actuality, I didn't even want to go out that night, but thanks to the convincing coercion of my friends, it proved to be the decision that changed our lives. It turns out Chris and I went to the same high school, though I was a year older and our paths had never crossed until that moment almost 7 years later. While neither of us believe in the traditional "love at first site", there was most definitely an instant connection. Fast forward 4 1/2 amazing and fun-filled years later and there we are on our first trip to Europe together standing on the Eiffel Tower in Paris where, like a scene out of a movie, Chris proposed! Every couple has something that makes them click, and while Chris and I don't believe we're more "perfect" than any other couple out there, we do consider ourselves incredibly lucky for having found each other. Aside from communication, I believe laughter is one of the most important things in a strong relationship. When you are with the one person that you can share anything with, but also the one person that you can laugh the hardest with and have the most fun with, then you're with the right person. Your best friend. The love of your life. Your partner. What makes us so compatible: We love travel & adventure -so far, our travels together have taken us to Panama, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Las Vegas, New York, and Paris (and it's a big world with a lot more to see) We love to laugh - we have a sarcastic, often-times dry humour that sometimes only we get, but it's fantastic because we just love to have fun We love each other - every relationship has its bumps in the road, and our bumps have only made us stronger and truly appreciate each other more We understand one another - we know how the other tics, we know each other quirks and what makes each other happy. We communicate - this is key! At the end of the day, it's the words that aren't spoken that can cause the most damage. We talk to each other when things come up and are able to nip things in the bud before they escalate into something bigger than it actually is. We are best friends - we enjoy the time we have with our friends, but when all is said and done, there is no one we would rather be with and spend time with than each other.

First Meet: The College Street Bar, you guessed it, on College Street in Toronto. Chris was working as a bar back and I was the reluctant patron that was dragged there that night by my friends, and as it stands, thankfully so!

First Date: It’s good we were really into each other on the first date because if we had based the future of our relationship on the success of the movie we saw, Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow, we would not be where we are today! Luckily, the train-wreck of a movie that it was truly highlighted our sense of humour and right away we knew we were going to click!

Get Together: Our first date didn't seal the deal, but a few short weeks later we made it official! Our "dating" anniversary: October 24, 2004

Chris and I have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback and support we've received throughout this contest! We have such a wonderful network of friends, and of course amazing families, that have set aside so much time in supporting us. We just truly want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts that took the time to vote and support Chris and I in this exciting adventure!
