Perfectcouple.ca Challenge Rules & Regulations

1. Agreement: Before entering the Contest, each entrant must review the Contest Rules. No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest. The act of entering the Contest constitutes acceptance of the Contest Rules and the decisions of the Contest judge(s).

2. Sponsors: The Contest sponsor is The Mississauga News, a division Metroland Media Group Ltd.

3. How to Enter & Eligibility: 24 couples will be randomly selected from entries emailed to perfectcouple@mississauga.net. Entries must contain photos of the couple and a short biography of how they met and why they feel they are Mississauga's Perfect Couple. Entry submissions commence Sunday, October 11th, 2009. The deadline to submit a Perfect Couple entry is midnight November 15th, 2009. After that date, 24 entries will be randomly selected to compete in the Perfect Couple Challenge. The Contest is open to all residents of the Mississauga area 18 years of age and older, except employees and immediate family members (and/or persons domiciled with) of Metroland and/or any employees or members of its affiliated companies, their advertising or promotional agencies or affiliates. The couples must be engaged to be married with a wedding date set between 2010 and 2011. Couples must agree to release their biography, pictures & answers to bridal related questions for use on www.perfectcouple.ca and/or any Metroland Media Group Ltd print publication and/or website (i.e. The Mississauga News, www.mississauga.com).

4. Voting portion of the contest: After 24 couples are randomly selected, they will be contacted by a representative from The Mississauga News to sign release forms. The 24 competing couples will be required to answer some basic biographic questions (i.e. astrological sign, favourite colour etc) and agree to participate in daily online question & answers from www.perfectcouple.ca. Voting from the public on their favourite couple will commence in November, 2009 until midnight January 3, 2010*. (*Exact voting dates are subject to change).

5. Prize: Cruise for two with Air from Toronto on board one of The Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines courtesy of our prize sponsor, Able Travel American Express (retail value of up $5,000).

6. Regulations: Selected couples must respond daily on the www.perfectcouple.ca forums by answering a question that will be posted at 10am every Monday-Friday. Selected couples are also encouraged to participate frequently on the forums with their experiences of wedding planning. Selected couples must also complete our "Bride's Choice" selections that will be posted below their biographies on www.perfectcouple.ca, i.e. your favourite caterer, photographer etc.

7. The Voting: Votes from the public on www.perfectcouple.ca will determine the winning couple.

8. General: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible votes received during the relevant Contest period. All decisions of the Contest judge are final. The Contest is governed by the laws of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Metroland reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or modify the Contest or the Contest Rules at any time without notice. All prizes must be accepted as awarded, are non-transferable and are not convertible to cash. Metroland reserves the right to substitute any prize with a prize of equal or greater value. Metroland is not responsible for lost or misdirected entries. The winning couple of the Prize will be announced at The Mississauga News Bridal Show, Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Living Arts Centre. All contests are invited be present on that day at said time (to be determined) when the winning couple is announced. Entry to the Bridal Show is free of charge to all www.perfectcouple.ca contestants. Parking is free at the Living Arts Centre.

9. Release: Winners must agree to his/her name and/or photo and/or biography as supplied being used without compensation for publicity purposes and to sign an affidavit of compliance and a waiver of liability on behalf of Metroland.
